Ex-president Jonathan felicitates with Muslims at Sallah
He advised Nigerians to put the love of the country above personal interests. The ex-president quoted the example of Prophet Ibrahim who was willing to sacrifice his son, adding that only sacrifice would make the “Nigeria of our dreams” possible. Jonathan writes: “On Eid-El-Kabir, we honour Proohet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son. This must teach us that we must all sacrifice for Nigeria’s greatness.
“Without self sacrifice, we will never see the Nigeria of our dreams and will always think ‘what about me’ instead of ‘what about Nigeria’. Let us imbibe Proohet Ibrahim’s ideals and put Nigeria first in all we do. I salute the Muslim Ummah this Sallah. Happy Eid-El-Kabir. GEJ.”
Nigerians appreciated former country’s leader and compared him to the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari refused to help negotiate for any form of peace for this country, locally and internationally, the Boko Haram and other militancy cases not exempted. He did not represent Nigeria in anything good other than inciting violence and religious killings but here is Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, still serving us in various capacities, locally and internationally.. at all forms and ring roads of peace!!! Nigerians, its obvious, the difference between both men is as clear as the sea of heaven.
An acrimonious bigot can never make a good leader!” Engr Tchidi Create wrote: “Sir, you are good man, but your greatest mistake is allowing corruption to destroy your government. The president saluted Nigerians’ steadfastness in spite of the difficult economic times the nation was going through.
