N50m for each house National Assembly members intend buying.

N2.5m will be needed from every member of the National Assembly to start up a mortgage facility. Houses from an estate are being bought by the lawmakers in Abuja at N50m per house which will spread over twenty months. " You will put your name down if you are interested and N2.5m installment will be deducted from your account monthly for 20 months. It is more like the federal mortgage facility."

The facility was discussed by the Senate at the resumption of plenary on April 4, 2017. A senator commented about how art the estate developer about his idea to involve members of the National Assembly as they would keep up with regular income for the two-year period. It was reported that legislatives were facing problems of accomodation in the FCT. The same senator said "The Chairman of Senate Services Committee, Ibrahim Gobir announced that some estate developers wantedbto sell housing units and those interested would pay in installment. He said too that many senators who are governors in their states acquired houses in their state capitals. This opportunity might be extended to members of the House of Reps. Many senators showed very much interest as most of them formed groups to pay a specific amount as a group every month.
