Google join Africans to Honour Chinua Achebe


If you have visited Google today you’ll notice a doodle in the resemblance of the late legendary African Literature icon Chinua Achebe. As we all know, Late Chinua Achebe, is widely considered to be father of modern African literature as a result today choose to honour him today which should have been his 83rd birthday. 

Google honours literary icon Chinua Achebe Albert Chinụalụmọgụ Achebe; was born on the 16th of November 1930, and known as a Nigerian novelist, poet, professor, and critic. One of his novels Things Fall Apart (1958), is widely read in modern African literature. 

 Achebe’s works has earned him many accolades, including the Man Booker International Prize in 2007. Albert Chinụalụmọgụ Achebe died in March of 2013 at the age of 82. May he continue to rest in peace.
