Hard Times Hit Family In Benue

The prevailing hard times has again reared its ugly head in Benue State as a man stole prepared food, popularly known as fufu from the neighbouring family.
It all started when a woman who had prepared fufu, left it in an open place and went away to the kitchen to prepare soup. When she was preparing the soup, a man living in the same compound came and stole the food (prepared fufu) since he had nothing to eat and was left with no other choice. There was no soup to eat the stolen fufu with. But he started eating with an improvised soup made up of only palm oil and salt.
When the woman who had prepared the fufu came to pick the food, she discovered that the food had disappeared into the thin air. Engulfed by surprise and suspicion, she searched around th neighbourhood for the food and to her amazement, she found a man who seemed to be her neighbour eating the food with his children without soup. She discovered they were only eating it with palm oil. Out of compassion, she went and brought the soup which she had just prepared and gave it to them which they gladly accepted with gratitude.

This shows the level hardship people are facing in our communities and such people are left with no choice than to engage in nefarious acts to stay alive.
It has been discovered that similar cases occured in such environs.
We must fight famine wherever it rears its ugly head. Since pleading to the government doesn't seem to produce result; the only way out is to relie totally on God during this period.
Some people around the area who were coping with the difficult situation said that the hardship trained them to look for the good in the worst situations, while others said it may lead to death since their own case is as good as dead.
