Breaking: Ondo state governor Mimiko’s ally assassinated
The incident was alleged to have happened in the earlier hours of today, Friday, September 2. According to a member of the community who spoke with NAIJ.com, the deceased was said to be returning from a vigil when he was macheted to death at the gate of his house at Ilutitun in Osooro area of the state.
His remains have since been deposited at the Okitipupa General Hospital. Before his death, Pirisola was former a People’s Democratic Chairman, caretaker chairman, of Okitipupa Local Government. He was born on the 3rd January, 1959 Lamenting the ugly situation, a popular musician from Ondo state, Demola Suzi said, “Kidnapping was the order of the day. Now it’s assassination. There’s an urgent need for vigilance in our land. RIP Evangelist Niyi Pirisola,” he said.
