Cristiano Ronaldo has just broken an amazing record in Europe in Madrid's 2-1 victory against Valencia.

The Portuguese netted his 367th league goal making him the all-time highest goal scorer in Europe’s top six leagues.

The former record holder was Tottenham legend Jimmy Greaves who had 366 league goals in 566 appearances. He also played for Chelsea, AC Milan and West Ham United.

BlogStar News reports that the 31-year-old scored the first goal for Madrid in the 27th minute and later missed a penalty in that game.

He started his career in Sporting Lisbon and moved to Manchester United in 2003 where he gained reputation and won his first Ballon d'Or award. He later moved to Real Madrid in 2009 where he has won three Ballon d'Or awards and two UCL titles.
