The Nigerian “Super Eagles” are back home after the 2017 Camping Exercise in France. Finishing with a 3-goal to 0 victory over Togo.
The absence of Victor Moses, Carl Ikeme, Mikel Obi and Onazi Ogenyi had given the Hawks of Togo a fair play in the second friendly match in Paris just as Gernot Rohr had anticipated.
Ahmed Musa took on two goals alongside Alex Iwobi's assists. Just three minutes into the game, Alex Iwobi had twiddled the ball past their opponents into the box where he footed the ball over to Ahmed Musa who gave it the best finish. Iwobi had tried Musa with another pass at about the twentieth minute which led to the second goal.
The Eagles had taken a handsome percentage of the ball possession when Ogheneharo Etebo had dribbled past the goal keeper, and forwarded a pass to Kelechi Iheanacho whom practically had the post to himself . Another goal was on the scoresheet for Nigeria.
Despite the struggles of the Hawks of Togo to catch up with the goals, the match still ended in a 3-0.
More effort now is needed as another match catch the minds of the Super Eagles, the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against South Africa on June 10th in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
