Nigeria international Hope Akpan is expected to return to action for Burton Albion when they take on Manchester United in the third round of the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
The central midfielder has not featured for the Brewers since August 15 when he was sent off against Middlesbrough on match day three in the Championship, and he later suffered an injury in training.
The official website of Burton Albion has provided an injury update on the crocked players, stating :
''Will Miller has a hamstring injury but otherwise Nigel Clough has close to a full squad to choose from with Matty Palmer and Hope Akpan expected to be available again after injury to face Manchester United.''
Manager Nigel Clough added : ''They will all want to play and will say they are fit but we will see how they are in training on Tuesday morning and will pick the squad from there.''
Akpan joined Burton Albion on a one-year deal in July after choosing not to extend his contract with demoted Blackburn Rovers.
The 26-year-old has 11 appearances to his name in the League Cup, scoring three goals.
