Gunmen had on Thursday, shot dead two policemen and an official of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ciki Da Falo, a village in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State.

Just last week, a village head and five others were killed after suspected bandits attacked Sarari village near Kuriga town in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The development prompted, Zubairu Gwari, emir of Birnin Gwari, to ask his subjects to defend themselves against those invading their communities.
“We can’t be fools to wait for somebody that will not come. Nobody can stop me from telling my people to protect themselves. And that is what we are doing now because the policemen that are in Birnin Gwari cannot protect.
“The soldiers that are being brought come and sometimes make matters worse. I am also appealing to the president to come and see things for himself, because we are also Nigerians,” he had said.
