Tottenham fans sung nasty songs at Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso

Tottenham fans sung nasty songs at Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso on Sunday. And it wasn’t just songs, as Tottenham fans also had flyers aimed at the Spanish wing-back as well. Long before he joined Chelsea, Marcos Alonso was involved in a car crash that resulted in the death of a young woman. That happened back in 2011, when Alonso was 20 and playing for Bolton.

The incident happened in Madrid, Spain. Alonso was charged for being over the legal alcohol limit and speeding.
While the car crash could have left Alonso in jail for four years, the footballer was fined €61,000 and banned from driving for three years and four months. Spurs fans have targeted Alonso previously for the car crash. Back in October, a couple of Tottenham fans were pictured on social media holding up a banner attacking Alonso during the away match at Huddersfield.

Tottenham finally win at Chelsea 28 years. That’s how long it was since Tottenham last won at Chelsea. The record books gained a significant update on Sunday as Tottenham opened up an eight point lead over the Blues in the Premier League.

Spurs ended more than a quarter of a century’s wait to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Has that result condemned the Blues to playing Europa League football next season? Dele Alli was the match-winner for Spurs with a second half double. Alvaro Morata opened for the the hosts, while Christian Eriksen levelled on the stroke of halftime with a stunning shot from distance.
