Cristiano Ronaldo tells Zidane one player needs to be dropped

Cristiano Ronaldo thinks he knows the issue at Real Madrid according to Don Balon, and wants to see Borja Mayoral dropped from the starting line up.

He thinks that the young player is too focused on himself and not the team, and wants to get goals and can often make the wrong decisions in terms of passes – something Ronaldo is not happy about given Real need goals and Ronaldo himself needs to get back to top form in La Liga after being suspended following his altercation with the referee in the Supercopa.

That’s according to Don Balon at least, who think that Ronaldo and Zidane could be on a collision course when it comes to the player. “He’s part of the squad, he’s young but I knew he could be,” Zidane said about Mayoral. “He can play an important role and today he showed it. “I’m glad because it’s what we want from the players, that when they play, they try to do it well, and he did so.”

Benzema

Ronaldo is reportedly keen to get Benzema back into the side, with the pair enjoying a good relationship on and off the field.

Ronaldo has previously said how much he enjoys playing with the Frenchman, with Benzema himself saying he thinks Ronaldo is one of the greatest and all rumours that he is selfish are untrue. “I have no words.

When I hear his name, I just have a gesture of admiration,” he said of Ronaldo, as quoted by AS. “He’s an extraordinary person. We understand each other well on the pitch.

He wants to have the ball but it’s very difficult to get it when he runs with it. “He’s not selfish on the pitch but if he has the ball he always wants to go for goal. And suddenly, he’ll set me up to score.”
