Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho will be sold this summer after Pep Guadiola told the striker he has no place in the Manchester City's plans for next season.
“Kelechi did not travel to Manchester during the Super Eagles training camp to hand in a transfer request, already he has been told he is not in Guardiola's plans for next season,” a source told All Nigeria Soccer. ”City are still studying all offers but will only accept a deal from any club that agrees with their buy-back clause. “His agents are in talks with West Ham to come to some sort of a deal.”
The striker was relegated to the bench this past season after he went behind Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero in the pecking order. The 20-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium and the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Everton and West Ham United have been rumoured to be interested in his services. Iheanacho is currently on international duty with Nigeria as they prepare for next weekend’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
